Sisymbrium loeselii, (Cruciferae, the Mustard Family), 5-10 dm in height, yellow flowers, habitat: native of SE. Europe and W. Asia, becoming a weed throughout U.S. (102, 103).

It produces erucic acid, C22H42O2 with its seed fats (174, 238).

Solidago canadensis, Canada Goldenrod, (Compositea, the Composite Family), 2.5-20 dm in height, yellow flowers, habitat: Moist or dry open places, thin woods, throughout most of U.S. and Canada (102, 103).

Canada Goldenrod produces 3-Glucosylglucoside (238).
